Hi, I’m Sunnylark and my blog is devoted to visioning a new world, an environmentally sustainable world where the children and animals are taken care of and all people are respected

There is a project which I need to draw to everyone’s attention in Southern California. It is a proposed huge blasting aggregate quarry which would be blasting for 75 years, at least 10 times a week, up to 7 days a week and up to 20 hours a day. The proposed project has the potential for devastating and irreversible negative effects for the ecology and wildlife of the area. It would be adjacent to the irreplaceable Santa Margarita Ecological Reserve, above one of the last free flowing coastal rivers in Southern California, the Santa Margarita River, in the off -site damage zone of the Elsinore Fault and it would bisect the last migratory corridor of animals from the inland mountains to the coastal mountains in this area. There will be public hearings of the Riverside County Planning Commission at the Temecula Rancho Community Church at 31300 Rancho Community Way on April 26 at 4 p.m. and May 3. Please join us at the hearing to oppose the quarry or post a comment of support against the quarry on this blog. Thank you for your support.
